Description
*Note* Colour may vary (from grey to black). Some may have more wear due to huge variance in age difference
These bandoleer's were designed for cavalry/mounted use. Due to the awkward nature of operating a vehicle or horse, conventional waist webbing was abandoned in favour of these bandoleers. Designed for use with the Carcano rifle, the originals were made at the end of the 19th century. Italy continued to use the Carcano throughout World War I and World War II. Although most lack any markings, the youngest are most likely WW2 era with the possibility of some up to 120 years old (we would guess mainly the former though).
Like all bandoleers, a simple adjustable strap goes over the shoulder to secure it to your body. A metal ring sits to one side designed for attaching a pistol holster or a bayonet frog. Equipped with 2 large pouches that have 4 cells each within for holding stripper clips. The flap is secured with a sturdy metal peg. Made with extremely rugged leather, these are built to last. Add one of these to your Italian military collection today before they are all gone!
