Ruggedly built operator trousers by military contractor Seyntex for the Royal Netherlands Army. Dated around the 1960's with a vintage wide leg and high fit. Ideal if you're after a good ol' fashioned tough pair of trousers.
Constructed from a heavy-weight, double layer cotton canvas for durability. The waist is adjustable by three buttons on either side and loops around the interior allow the use of a belt or suspenders. A button on either leg holds the cuffs in place if you choose to roll them up. For storage, the pants feature two rear buttoned pockets and two large cargo pockets. Perfect if you need a rugged pair of trousers or add them to your Dutch military collection.

Could not be more pleased with these pants. There are some minor stains and scuffs, but they appear unworn and are dated 1960. The fit takes some getting used to, but just accept that you have to wear them higher, and it's no problem. I normally wear a 31" waist, but I have these cinched up (with the adjustment buttons) to about 29" so that they stay above my waist; if I adjust them to fit my waist, the pants sag down with the crotch at about mid-thigh. Inner loops are for suspenders, and there is no provision for a belt. If you need to carry a holster on a belt, you could easily sew a section of leather on, as a "belt segment" to hold the holster - the material is strong enough. Double layer throughout, as mentioned in the copy - these pants are so heavy after washing that no number of clothespins will keep them on the line, and I can't even say that about Carhartt double-knee pants. Lack of front and rear pockets had me concerned, but it's not a problem to re-jigger my pocket contents a little - the cargo pockets hold plenty, and the smaller side/waist pocket is well-placed to keep its contents from interfering with leg movement (as does a full front pocket). I never use rear pockets anyway, because I don't like sitting on a pocket full of stuff, so no worries there.
The pants are warm enough for general outdoor wear down to around 40F, but then some liners are called for: I found that the Czech M85 quilted liners have a similar high-waisted fit and fit comfortably underneath (thanks to the generous fit of these pants). They don't button in, but this combo makes me feel like I'm wearing a sleeping bag. Very warm.
I like roomy pants, so wide legs are my go-to, but these are slightly over-the-top. I installed two snaps at the lower hem of each leg so I can snug up the cuff and not have it dragging the ground. Sort of a zoot-suit look. These pants are vintage and classy and durable as heck, and I'm glad I found them.
