Description
Both the Bundeswehr (German Army) and government emergency services utilized these blankets throughout the Cold War and after reunification. Throughout the years the markings on these varied and perhaps the exact wool content - but we would feel fairly confident wool takes up a majority of the content just by feel. In any case, these have a great weight/feel to them and will provide plenty of insulation on those cold nights.

When I first purchased 2 of these blankets for camping I kicked myself for spending so much on surplus until they arrived.
I have a few woolen blankets but when you finally get a proper woolen blanket like these the quality is outstanding. The blankets are actually quite large like a large single or queen.
The fabric is very heavy and the warmth they provide means you'll likely be taking it off a few times during the night while camping.
In my mind now I wasted a tonne of money on cheaper blankets and sleeping bags. I now have just a Roman sleeping bag with one of these blankets and nothing else.

Blanket is just enough for a queen size bed. Blanket is warm and has good weight. Less heavy than a thick quilt but very warm. Definitely recommend.
