United States Government Issue N-2B Parka manufactured by Alpha Industries. Short-cut extreme cold weather flight parka with an insulated construction and snorkel-style hood. This example dates to 1977. One front button is missing.

The N-2B is the short-cut variant of the N-3B, designed to reduce bulk when seated in aircraft. It was produced under U.S. military contract for aircrew use in cold climates and remained in service through the 1970s before being phased out by modular cold-weather systems.
