The US military has utilized bandoleer's for well over a century. The primary purpose of a bandoleer is to provide extra lead quickly and in a relatively inexpensive or disposable fashion. This bandoleer in particular was designed during the Vietnam war to carry 6 x 5rnd 7.62mm stripper clips (12 clips if you double up). Made from thin cotton material these may not last forever but are extremely lightweight. It comes with a simple over the shoulder sling which troops would often use a single safety pin to adjust the length to fit better (pin not included). Alternatively you can tie a knot in the sling to shorten it in the field. 

If your doing a Vietnam war impression for a collection, re-enactment or airsoft kit then these are the ticket. For transporting stripper clips en mass you cannot go past these for price!
