The US military has utilized bandoleer's for well over a century. The primary purpose of a bandoleer is to provide magazines quickly and in a relatively inexpensive or disposable fashion. This bandoleer in particular was designed during the Vietnam war to carry either 7 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines or 14 x 10rnd 5.56mm clips. Made from thin cotton material these may not last forever but are extremely lightweight. It comes with a simple over the shoulder sling which troops would often use a single safety pin to adjust the length to fit better (pin not included). Alternatively you can tie a knot in the sling to shorten it in the field.
If your doing a Vietnam war impression for a collection, re-enactment or airsoft kit then these are the ticket. For transporting magazines en mass you cannot go past these for price!
