US Army Air Assault Badge. This silver-filled qualification badge is dated October 1979 and remains mounted on its original issue card. The design features a helicopter suspended beneath a pair of outstretched wings, with a darkened finish highlighting the raised details.

The reverse retains its twin clutch-back fasteners and is marked with contract information including NSN 8455-01-069-0097 and DLA contract number DLA 100-79-C-2751. The original backing card identifies the badge as a regular-size silver-filled Air Assault qualification badge.
