Expand your Alpenflage range with this Swiss Army shirt. With a bunch of handy features, this shirt won't let you down. The alpenflage pattern (officially Tarnanzug 83, TAZ 83) is a distinctly Swiss camouflage that was rather oddly referred to as Vierfruchtpyama (four fruit pajamas) by troops.
Constructed out of a rugged poly/cotton blend on a mid-weight weave. Combined with the reinforced elbows, these are some pretty tough shirts. Slots for holding pens are located on the inside of the left chest pocket. Below the shoulder epaulettes, on the left arm is an FFD pocket. Two belt loops around the waist are adjustable using snap domes. Elasticated and zip-up cuffs ensure a good fit, rolled up or down. This is a lot of shirt for a little price. An excellent camouflage for airsoft players and hunters.

The colours were better than expected, burgundy and maroon colours rather that the red suggested in the photos, gorgeous.
I have upcycled into a casual womens jacket, as pictured.

Fit, while baggy, looks good! Will be great with a hoody underneath come fall. I ordered XL, i wear that for t-shirts but I should have probably ordered L 109cm)
Honestly might order a second one so I can wear it now with a better fit!

What doesn’t this shirt have? … is a rhetorical question, because it has everything! History, providence, quality, functionality and is a colourway classic. The zippered cuffs are the chefs kiss of class. Stepping out matched with a pair of jeans, cherry docs and ox blood leather belt - and don’t forget the stick - to keep them off.

Nice bright coIors as Paul Simon would say, I like the 2 big front pockets & the internal pen pocket, great idea, The front zip on mine took a bit of fiddling with to zip up & undo but candle wax sorted it out eventually.
I cut the elastic in the sleeve openings as I prefer them loose.
The fit for a XL (112) was slightly on the large size and plenty of room for layers uunderneath.

Nice wind jacket, true to size.
Only drawback I can see - Had to wash it three times before the chemical cocktail they added at production started to subside - and clearly does not feel good on the skin while the chemicals are still present (well, it made me feel sick).
So wash before wear - again, and again. Then enjoy, but have a thought for the environment which now needs to deal with these chemicals.
