South African Defence Force (SADF) 1 Reconnaissance Commando badge in used/very good condition. This shield-shaped metal badge features a black enamel upper panel with three gold daggers above a black-and-gold eight-pointed compass star set against a yellow enamel background. The reverse is fitted with three clutch-back posts and retains a handwritten identification label reading "1 RECCE".

The badge retains bright enamel colours, crisp raised detailing, and light surface wear consistent with previous use. The reverse shows minor age-related marks and patina while the fastening posts remain intact. A genuine South African military surplus badge representing 1 Reconnaissance Commando and an excellent addition to any SADF or military insignia collection.
