The MICH (Modular Integrated Communications Helmet) was designed to replace the short comings of the previous PASGT helmet design. Special forces operators were increasingly swapping their heavy PASGT's for lightweight, plastic 'bump' helmets. The MICH was designed to alleviate both short comings and become the new front line helmet, formally rolled out in 2001.

These are only roughly 100 grams lighter than the real versions. Even the outer shell has a light textured surface like the real deal in case you decide to paint one up. The inside has adjustable padding, 4 point chin/neck harness and a quick release strap.
