Description

This is a collectable product, sold as a display piece only. It is not intended for wear or practical use and cannot be returned for change of mind.

Usually we stock TAZ57 or TAZ83 (alpenflage) M70 model jackets however this one is unusual. This Swiss jacket is made from canvas in the M61 pattern, with the bayonet attachment to the front right, smooth domes, interior pocket to the back bottom left pouch, inner wrist cuffs and angular elbow reinforcing (not vinyl, rejoice!). While the Swiss M61 jacket is not terribly rare, these made from canvas are.

This one dated from the 50's, either 1956 or 1952 (more likely '52, given the first stamp is usually size and the chest flat also measures 56cm)- we say either year date because the interior stamps have been overprinted. Adding to the canvas jacket is an included canvas pack which famously integrates with the jacket itself. While rugged, this jacket has fading and some damage, especially wearing on seam edges and pocket corners, small holes and repairs. An awesome, hefty piece of Swiss gear.
