Collectable or just handy, we have these German canteen sets. With a bit of a clean up, you could be sipping a soup, snacking on an MRE and staying hydrated all in one handy set. 

We have these in two different eras - older rauhlack/rough varnish though most are the newer glattlack/smooth varnish and some are a mix of both kinds to make a complete set. Each kind has differing clasp systems but each set had a cup with folding handle, canteen (lids are present but may be detatched) and the canteen sits in a cup with no handle.
