Description

The M56 load carrying system was of US design, however Australian troops started utilizing their allies system and eventually began reproducing it themselves. These pouches are a by-product of Aussie troops needing a pouch to better fit their large SLR magazines during the Vietnam war.

Much like the US M56, the top opens with a simple pull tab to access your next mag. The main difference being that these can hold 3 SLR mags or up to 6 x 20rnd M16 magazines. Each pouch comes with 2 ALICE clips on the back to secure to a web belt and a top adjustable strap to attach to a M56 yoke. Each side of the pouch has a strap with snap dome closure wide enough to attach hand grenades or a bandage pack. Made from canvas they are extremely robust and come with an eyelet at the bottom to drain any water out. A great pouch for Vietnam war collectors or airsoft/paintball skirmishes.

Features:

  • Authentic Australian Army surplus
  • Holds up to 3 SLR mags
  • ALICE clips & top clip for mounting to web set
  • Quick release pull tab opening
  • Bottom eyelet for draining
  • Snap dome side straps to attach frags
