Description

Craving a bit of off roading in the Lada? Keep your head strong like Volga ice, with a tanker helmet!

These 'hats' performed the role of a helmet for Soviet and Warsaw Pact tankers. Instead of being hard and getting a headache, these are heavily padded to soften bumping around inside a heavily armoured tank. Being a mix of Eastern Bloc origins, the configuration of each helmet may differ slightly.

They come with built in ear cups to soften external noise and also act as a headphone. Tank jacks are back but with the range of Eastern Bloc pattern hats, the jack type varies. A throat microphone straps around your neck below the chin. Please note these comms may or may not work, you would need a Eastern Bloc tank to find out!

Unfortunately they are often missing markings and multiple origins, so we cannot date them. These would be perfect for any particular eastern-bloc collectors who know their stuff. Alternatively these would be great for dress up parties, airsoft impressions or really keen four wheel drivers!

Features:

  • Authentic Soviet & Warsaw Pact surplus
  • Padded ear cups
  • Throat microphone
  • Padding all over to protect users head from cold Russian tank steel
  • Leather and metal fastener to secure to your head

Sizing: Most of these have no markings remaining. They vary from 48-59 approx. These will be sold at random as a collectors piece.
Weight: Approx. 950g
Colour: Black
Condition:
Used/Good -  Item is well used. There may be marks/stains/scratches or repairs, but it is still in functioning order. If you want more information on our condition ratings, check out our condition guide

    Excellent and possibly working product

Purchased one of these a while ago and was amazed at how well these have been looked after. There's sign of some use here and there with some rust marks on the metal fasteners, but it's only surface rust. The headset and throat microphones can be converted to 3.5 audio jack for use with phones, PCs, controllers etc. My one has working headphones and am yet to try the mic.

    Russian/Soviet TSH-4

I believe the One i recieved was a slighty differenct model to the one on the pictures as it has a different cord piece, other than that a really good product for a collection. Ive wanted this one for a while now and finally got the chance to get it. abit dusty but other than that good condition just be careful of some of the strings on the mic piece as they are abit fragile which I learned the hard way. good piece for collection and/or reenactment not sure what else youd need it for. cheerss armyandoutdoors
