Made from robust artificial leather, these Hungarian map bags are a handy retro piece. Under the lid are pockets for pens, extra bits and behind this is a clear, fold out map window. This window is protected on one half by a cloth and this acts as a nice interleaf for the vinyl and you could wipe away any mystery mud or rain too. Behind this map window is a compartment to store more goods, spare maps - whatever you like. Through ergonomic design, the body is expandable and lid accommodates some extra width from cramming contents in. To carry this guy around it has a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap. These seem to have been in storage for quite some time - the exteriors may have some gunk which appears to wipe off, some cloths are a bit discoloured and the interiors are a little stiff but appear unused. A retro looking day bag for stationary, bookworms, luddite travellers, oldschool geoscientists and naturalists, small electronics, or a piece for a Hungarian collector.
