Description
Saint Lucia adopted their flag in 1967 shortly after becoming an Associated State of the United Kingdom. The blue represents the sky, Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea which surrounds Saint Lucia. The black and white parts stand for the relationship between the black and white races. The yellow represents prosperity and sunshine. Finally together with all three colours they form the shapes of two twin volcanic mountains on St Lucia, the 'Pitons.'
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
