Jamaica adopted their flag in 1962 upon achieving independence from the British-protected Federation of the West Indies. An interesting fact that makes the Jamaican flag unique - it is the only flag in the world currently that does not use the colours red, white or blue!

The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
