A fine piece of genuine German surplus, the "Schibluse" (Ski blouse) is a tunic worn by many divisions across the Bundeswehr - not actually used for skiing. The design is most likely based on the US Ike jacket from WWII - waist high with a button up front and two chest pockets. These tunics have come in with varying amounts of patches and insignia. Some do not have any insignia and some have had the shoulder epaulettes removed.
The design is similar to the classic Eisenhower style of jacket with a strap around the waist with snap dome fastening. Laces on the sides allow the jacket to form around the shape of the waist. Each cuff has two buttons for adjusting the fit. Constructed from wool with silver metal buttons on the shoulders (for epaulettes). Certainly a nice piece for a German Army collector or if classic military style jackets are your choice of outerwear.
Features:
Sizing: Waist length cut
Weight: 0.8kg
Content: Wool
Colour: Grey
Condition: Used/Good. Some jackets have had the shoulder epaulettes removed.
