These jackets are loosely based off of the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) developed by the US Army in the 1980s. When things are getting seriously wet and cold, you want one of these.
The outer shell is waterproof, windproof and durable. Unlike a lot of waterproof layers, this one is made from a thick polyester that won't tear easily on every small bit of gorse. We would also put these jackets on a par of average or below for generating noise - something handy to know for prospective hunters. Also included is a nice comfy warm fleece - these integrate directly into the jacket with zips but can happily be worn stand alone. You can also keep your hands warm with a large pair of waist pockets that can easily fit most glove types in.
